Welcome to the EDU 7801
Home Page
Dual Purpose of the Course

1. Digital Portfolios
EDU 7801 course is based on the premise that professional
managers in both the private and public sectors cannot
afford to ignore the Internet and its link to worldwide
information systems. The central management challenge of the
next century is how to use information technology to design
and manage schools, school systems and social organizations
effectively and efficiently. Internet website technology has
become so vital to the management, organization and
operation of organizations that they are too important to be
left to technicians. A few years ago, this statement was not
true.

2. On-line Research
Educational leaders are now expected to know the essential
elements of a broad spectrum of leadership and educational
theories related to successful practice. To develop an
understanding of the principles of scientific inquiry and
theory and to apply theories to successful administrative
planning and decision-making is one of the essential
characteristics of good practice. Thus, the intent of EDU
7801 is to present the principles and characteristics of
scientific inquiry with an eye toward developing a research
“toolbox” for practitioners.
